Weekend wonder

So this last weekend was busier than I had anticipated it to be that was more than okay.
I drove to Sheridan, Wy on Saturday morning with my sister.
My nephew Kayce had an appt for newborn pictures and my sister's family photographer lives out of town so we made a special trip.
Here is Alissa doing her wonderful work with most adorable little baby boy at there. :)
This picture is of me and nephew, Bryce.
He came with and he and I hung out a little bit.
He is such a fun kid! :)
Love him too!

That was my exciting Saturday.

and then on Sunday there was a bunch going on.
Woke up and went to church.
Went home and ate lunch.
Took the most amazing nap ever!
Woke up and went to Home depot.
Bought gardening stuff.
Went to the grocery store.
Bought food stuff.
Went home and took turns gardening with David and cooking dinner.
Started my teacup birdfeeder (which is drying right now)
and finished the "garden"

Now our garden consists of this little area of dirt outside of our door. It was full of weeds and random crap from the person who lived here before us so David cleaned it out, tilled the dirt a little bit, and it was magically good enough to do some planting!
We are still adding onto it here and there but this is what it looked like on Sunday...

Well I suppose I should get going.
I have a kid with a cold that needs some loving...
and a bath...
and a tissue...
and some motrin...
and you get the point....

Blessings and Peace!

Yesh! I are Happy!

Got off work early today and made my way to the Salvation Army!
Here is my Teacup and Saucer for my
Teacup Bird feeder! :)
And after I met my husband for lunch at the Sandwich bar (it's a place downtown where you can build your own sandwich with fresh deli meats and fresh produce on a variety of bread...) I went shopping at the Dancing Sheep Yarn and Fiber!

The green Cascade 220 will be used for the Shibui Pair of hats pattern that I bought. You can't see the picture very well but the top hat is a really cute and simple slouch hat.
The two skiens of Ambiente will be used for David's and Brodey's hats for when we are at the hospital after Saiya is born.
I bought the same kind of yarn but in a different colorway for me and Saiya a while ago. So it will be the same yarn but just different colors for the boys and girls in the Williams family :)

And then the book that I bought is Vintage Knits for Modern Babies from Hadley Fierlinger. I thought it would be fun to knit some baby things.
Plus there is a really cute pattern for a simple cotton bunny that my husband thought I should get so I of course had to buy the book so I could have the pattern! lol

SO far.SO good.SO happy.

No longer sprinter! (spring/winter)

Yesterday wasn't very exciting until I went through the Peach's fast food restaurant. I had pulled up behind another car that was ordering and had notice that over by the menu there was this beautiful tree.

It's nice to know that spring is really here....
Even though it snowed last week :)
and to celebrate I have plans to make a teacup bird feeder.
I saw it on a recent blog and thought it was pretty cute so I will have a mission for the weekend to hit up the 2nd hand shop or a garage sale and the hardware store!
I have a feeling its going to be a fun weekend :)
I'm sure I'll have pictures to post!
Enjoy your weekend!

another uffda

Today was far from productive. Usually I would be at work from 8:00-4:30, pick up my kiddo, and then head home to cook dinner. Well, that wasn't the case today.

David and I were sound asleep until we heard Brodey crying at about 1:30. I got up feeling pretty groggy wondering what could possibly be wrong. I thought maybe he had fallen out of his bed or something but when I walked into his dark room he was sitting up in bed. I turned on his lamp and turned to look at him and noticed that he was sweaty and choking bag back something. That something was vomit. He had thrown up down the front of him, on a good portion of his bedding and wasn't finished. SO I got him up to take him to the bathroom... we didn't make it there. Thankfully Dad got up and hung out with him while he took a shower and while I cleaned up the mess. I changed his sheets and shoved everything that he had puked on into a garbage bag. We got him out of the shower, got him into some clean jammies, and laid him back down. He fell back to sleep without any problem.

David and I were sound asleep until we heard Brodey crying at about 3:00 a.m. I got up and ran into his room to find that he had thrown up again in his bed while sleeping on his side. I got him up quickly noticing that he possibly wasn't done and he finished up in the toilet. I laid him on the couch and yet again stripped his bed, shoving everything he had puked on into another garbage bag for washing. I ended up having to handwash his favorite blanket because he wouldn't sleep without it so a good portion of a corner was damp but would have to do.

David was sound asleep and I wasn't. Brodey finally fell back asleep and I was so worried that he was going to puke again that I just pulled my body pillow out to the living room where I watched Fraiser (is that how it's spelled?) until I dozed off on the couch. I ended up calling in to work to let them know that my son had been up a good part of the night throwing up and that I wouldn't be in.

Brodey finally woke up to find that a good majority of bedding was gone. Grammy had come by at about 6:30 a.m. to pick up the bedding so it could be washed. We don't have a washer and dryer and I could hardly take Brodey to the laundry mat but he desperately needed his blanket. He was so upset that he didnt have and he was so upset that his dad had already left for work and couldn't get a hold of him over the phone. So he spent the majority of the day sitting on the couch with his substitute blanket next to his momma. (Grammy did bring him back his blankie and he was so happy :) )

Nap time came.
He napped.
I hopped on facebook.
I napped.
and 3.5 hours after he went down... I woke him up.

Right now. I think he is feeling better. I was able to get him to drink some applejuice and eat a little cereal. He held our bunny and then painted a couple of pictures which tells me he is getting his energy back. he hasn't thrown up since last night (thank you god!), his fever has broke, and the runs aren't as runny :) I just pray that he continues to feel better. It is more work worrying about him than it is taking care of him for sure. I also pray that I don't get it because I have no idea how the flu would mess with the little girl in my belly. I could imagine that it would put some stress on her so lets just pray that doesn't happen ok?

SO yes. another uffda. Taking care of my sweet Brodey has been quite the draining experience today. At the same time I was able to bond with him. He rarely wants to just sit with me but today he kept asking me if I wanted to snuggle with him. So often does he talk back to me, hit at me, and yell at me so for him to reach to me the way he did was reassuring :)

Well I suppose I'll put an end to this touching puke story :) Hope everyone has had a great week so far.

Peace!

Surprises for Saiya

I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I co-worker that I don't know very well gave me these for baby Saiya. :)
Two sets of booties that she knitted herself while on an airplane and
a crocheted beanie to match which she made about 45 minutes after giving me the booties. lol
I've been trying to get things organized (on a very limited budget)
and this just adds to the collection of Saiya things that I have.
I am so not use to seeing little girl things in my house but I sure am getting use to it!
:)
Just can't wait to meet my little girl!

sprinter- kinda like spring and winter

This is spring in Casper, Wyoming.
Took this picture outside of my work this morning!
:)
Yesterday we were told that we should expect 6-10 inches.
This morning we were told 2-4.
Tomorrow will be in the 50's
and by this weekend we will be enjoying high 60's-low 70's.
Gotta love it!

Mother's day

So it's mother's day.
I remember when I was little I would try to think of what I could make my mom.
I'd paint her a picture.
Maybe pick her some dandilions.
Put my hand print on a piece of paper with finger paint and write my name on it.
I always tried to do something special just for her.
I knew that Mother's day was the one holiday that we really showed our mom's
just how much they mean to us.
But it wasn't until I became a mother that I really realized the sacrafice my mother made for me.
All the hard work that she put into me from the moment I was conceived.
Carried me for 9 mos.
Gave birth to me after hours of labor
(which I tell you now is the hardest freakin thing I've ever experienced)
changed my diapers.
worried about my health.
Clothed me.
Fed me.
Loved me unconditionally.
Taught me.
disciplined me.
My mom would have given her life for me if she ever had to.
and I get that all now because I am doing it all for my son.
I now understand the love that a mother has for her child is a love that is beyond description until you've experienced it yourself.
and on this Mother's day I can't help but to feel so blessed because I know that my mom loves me the same way that I love my son.
I feel so thankful for that.
I honestly understand the meaning of Mother's day.
In such a busy world it is easy to look past the great things our mothers do for us.
Thank God we have at least one day that can focus on just that.
Moms, you deserve it!
Thank you, Mom.
I love you!

and you get the point. :)

I hope you all have a great Mother's day!
If you're a mother... enjoy your day! you deserve it!

Wednesday What?!

So it's been a few days since I last blogged.
Thought it was about time!
I've spent the last few days doing what I feel amounts to nothing special.
Though my Saturday was pretty entertaining!

1.) woke up and went to eggingtons with my family and my mom :)

2.) went to walmart and bought a bunch of nothing :)

3.) took a family picture for the church directory by a photographer that must of had 5 shots of espresso before we got there!

4.)Brodey got tired of the photographer and told her to stop it.

5.) went home and took a nap after a snack

6.) woke up from nap and went to La Cocina for some mexican food with our friends Chris and Charlotte :)

7.)went to Metro coffee company and played trivial pursuit

8.) went home and put Brodey to bed

9.) tie dyed!!!!!

10.) WOO HOO!!!

This would be my darling husband putting rubberbands around a onesie in preparation to
Tie Dye :)

This would be the obvious :)
Dye

After we rinsed out the garments we hung them in the kitchen to let the dry :)
I loved how bold the colors look when they are wet and fresh!
:)

This would be Saiya's crib sheet and some onsies that we have dyed for her.
I love how dark the red onesies turned out!
But the pink turned out very sweet too :)

Added my skirt into the picture.
That was David's project for me!:)
He thinks it could have turned out better but I love that he worked so hard on it!
Just for me :)

Here is Brodey's bed sheet :)
This would be one of my favorites for sure!!!

and the rest of it!

Some green onesies
David's tank

And David's underwear :)

Yes!

David's underwear!

So needless to say that was a pretty freakin amazing day!
another great day...
yesterday!
Why?
BECAUSE I DID NOTHING!

except for this.....

Brodey got his haircut.
That is about the only thing that I did yesterday!
He did pretty well sitting in that chair.
He did take the comb the hairdresser was using...
kept putting his hands up where she was trying to cut...
and told her to (once again) stop it....
But we bribed him with a sucker!
and it worked!
SO
other than this...
Things have been very unproductive around here.
No knitting :)
Just sitting :)
Blessings!
