Cute but annoying

Meet LaLa. She is my one year old kitty that often times we wonder why we still have her.
She meows loudly and while i'm trying to sleep.
She likes to poop and pee outside the litter box.
Use my new couch as a scratching post.
climb on the counters and kitchen table.
Drink out of the tub.
play with bottle craps or other small items that make annoying noises as they scoot across the hardwood floor...
She likes to climb through blinds.
She loves to climb on the exposed pipes in our apartment.
(which is what is pictured above)
She is little.
She is furry.
She is oh so cute.
But
SHE SURE CAN BE ANNOYING!

The Dainty Squid

They are having a give away at thedaintysquid.blogspot.com !!

Cute mugs to give away!
Heard about it through Susannahbean! Thanks girl!

Mommy Spitz

Had I known these books exsisted before today I would have bought at least one out of the two.
(seeming as how I have a 3 year old son)
I am officially putting this on the "Things to buy" list.
They say that kids aren't born with instruction manuals but did you know you can
BUY them?!
It's amazing! :)
I never saw the purpose in parenting magazines and books but now that Brodey is
three years old....I am beginning to see the importance of them.
:)
I have never had my patience tested so much in my entire life.
I have never loved someone so much and so unconditionally in my entire life.
I have never worried about someone so much in my entire life.
I have never had this much joy.
I have never been blessed by someone so much.
I have never experienced a love like this until I became a mother.
Parenting is frustrating and it is hard (and sometimes we need a little help)
but it is by far the most rewarding thing I have ever experienced.
and its really helped me see the flaws in myself.
I never saw myself as a person that gets easily angered or frustrated...
then I had a kid.
But it has helped me recognize that I just need to relax and not get so uptight.
That the best thing I can do for myself and my child is to stay as calm as possible.
and to try to be understanding.
One thing that can help with that is learning about where your child is at
developmentally.
I often go to

and covers anything from getting pregnant to childhood.
I've been able to track where my unborn child is and where my 3 year old is developmentally.
Another good place to go for support is...
THE BIBLE :)
2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. "

This website is a good resource to help navigate to the Bible verses that may benefit parents.

ON A LIGHTER NOTE....!!!

These are freakin delicious!
Blessings!

Yes Please...

...to a nap.
I love napping and yet I don't do it far enought :(
I work a full time job mon-fri 8-4:30
go home.
cook dinner.
clean up after dinner.
do random things here and there while Brodey plays.
Get Brodey ready for bed.
put Brodey down for bed.
and then its the end of my day.
No time for the nap.
BUT
WE HAVE WEEKENDS!

and I sure as heck will nap while Brodey takes his nap...
and that is if I can pull myself away from Facebook or Ravelry.

I have determined that I need one of these.
Poor David won't have much room on the bed but that is a small price to pay for his wife that is carrying his child :)
Mmmmmm....Love :)
See you in Dreamland!

Feather and Fan YO!

I was pretty sure I was never ever EVER going to make a scarf because I have the attention span of a nat. I like small, little, simple, projects that don't take me longer than a week to make... unless I'm feeling lazy....

BUT!!!! I DID THE UNIMAGINABLE! :)

Look what I can do :)

It was pretty simple to make and yet very entertaining!

OH yesh :) I be happy :) I have a nice scarf to wear during the rainy weather we will be experiencing for the rest of the week :)

Ah Rain :)

Though rain makes it pointless for me to bother doing my hair... It sure is refreshing :) Guess that's one thing to be thankful for :) as there are many many many things to be thankful for. :)

Thank you, Jesus!

My Grandmother use to put my hair in bobby pin curls when I was little. She would fasten hair with bobbypins and then wrap a bandana around my head to secure the pins. I would wake up the next morning and pull out all of the pins only to find that i had bouncy blonde curls. :) My grandpa would be sure to call me Goldy Locks and sing me "You are my Sunshine" :) That is one of most cherished memories.
NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!!!!
GET IT DONE!

Park it!

Yesterday was what seemed to be the most decent weather that we have had in a while. Nice Temps and very little wind :) It was a perfect day to take Brodey to the park :) David and I had told him that if he took a good nap that we would go to a park for a little while before dinner time and so he did just that. He took a good nap. :)

He had so much fun and honestly... we did too. :)
We sure love our little boy! He is the center of my camera phone pics. lol Lucky boy :) can't hardly do a thing without mommy getting in his face! Not to mention... I'm feeling pretty blessed by the picture of Dad and Brodey. :) I think it is so sweet. My guys :) and who knows... maybe we will have another one. :) we find out a week from today and I can hardly stand to wait!
Well, off to make some little smokies for a game night we are hosting tonight for a few people. Hope everyone is having a good day!

Dancing Sheep. Busy Brodey.

If you are having a hard time determining what this is a picture of... this would a very busy Brodey Lee. We went to the Dancing sheep yarn and fiber today for a minute or two so I could pick up a skien of yarn for a cemo cap I'm making for a co-worker. Well, Brodey is known to be a very busy boy. He likes to touch things, throw things, push things, pull things, wind things, and pull things apart and so a yarn store is not a very Brodey friendly place to be UNLESS you give him a calculator, tape measure, or something to do. So this would be the SOMETHING TO DO. :) He helped Cathy carry baskets of yarn over to the shelves so they could restalk and organize. I tell you what... he was one happy camper. You wouldn't think that a kid would want to work but when you let a 3 year old do big people stuff and help... they really are happy to help! It wasn't work for him; It was a game! And if you can't tell... he is covered in price stickers :) His cost is 19.99 times 10. I personally think he is worth more than that but they wouldn't have a price sticker or enough of them to mark his worth :). This child is priceless :) SO needless to say... I tried to bribe him out of the store with telling him that we would get him M&Ms and thought it was a good attempt... we didn't get out of there without an upset. He really didn't want to go and yet he didn't have a choice because it was nap time. But I did manage to get my yarn and some really cool hand balm. Smells like pine but sure is nice! :) So needless to say it was a great trip to Dancing Sheep Yarn and Fiber (sans the whole
Brodey freaking out when it was time to go. :)
Well Guess it is time for nap :) Brodey is down for his and I think it would be a great idea for me to join in on the fun in Dreamland :)
Blessings!

AWKward

Do you ever just feel socially awkward? Like you don't fit in but yet blend in with the rest of the crowd? Like you are still kind of looking for an identity?
Ya know... sometimes I do but whats so crazy is that I have one. I'm just always looking for ways to improve myself and its all through things so petty. Like for example... my hair. I was sitting on the computer last night profile hopping on Ravelry.com and I saw so many cute hair styles and I realized just how bored I am with my hair. I have blonde roots that gradually fade to red because of hair dye that I have had done a while back that has faded. Many people think it looks cool... I think its annoying and would just like to go back to blond but have to wait for it to grow out. and its long which makes it hard to do much with. hardly any volume and my bangs are annoying. SO needless to say I want to go to the hair dresser. But that is just such a minor thing. Hair isn't going to identify me. But I pick up hobbies like knitting and I enjoy doing that. :) But I sit back and ponder about what things I use to do... like paint and make jewelry. But becoming a mother has kind of robbed me of those time consuming things and has robbed me of the energy to do it. Knitting I feel like I can just pick up and put down and carry with me where ever. Those other things... not so much but I enjoyed doing them. But my favorite color keeps changing. I don't have ONE favorite movie. I don't collect anything (well... yarn but that comes with the knitting territory). Why am I so unsatisfied with such stupid things? Hair, hobbies, colors, movies. Its not like I'm not my own person with my own special things. Instead of embracing these things I see them as bad and they really aren't. I think its just human to always want to be "better" in our own minds. In society we want to stand out and I don't feel like I do all that much. But ya know... I am really blessed with the life that I have and I just need to remind myself of that before I start complaining about who I think I should be and just being excited for who I am :) I have great qualities and have a tendency to show my own uniqueness... I just can't see it from an outsiders perspective and sometimes it drives me nuts.

God bless me and he will continue to do so. He is a good God that will continue his good work in me. I pray that I continue to see my value, worth, and identity in him and not of this world and realize that I really am unique in my own way. Maybe someone wishes they were me as I wish to be others at times.

revamp

So! I finally got the internet at my house so now I can actually work on my blog. I have not a clue if anyone reads this thing... so far no followers. But that's okay. Maybe someday it will appear that I have friends. lol

As of now I am 4.5 months prego and find out in a couple weeks what I having. I have been taking a look at some knitting patterns for baby blankets and have found a couple that i may attach later. But until then... I am working on a feather and fan scarf out of some super soft malabrigo :)

I'm hoping as it starts to get warmer outside I will be able to go out and take some pics. I like eventful pictures like Brodey at the park or the Williams family camping. Should be a summer full of the lake and fishing :) and it will be nice because I can take the laptop with and log on while I'm out there.

But yes. Nothing new, clever, or whitty to say at this point. Maybe when I get a wind inspiration I will hop back online :)

If anyone has read this blog... Thank you :)
